About us

Hi! We are a father-daughter team from Melbourne who created Stanz Designz to share the joys for indoor garden decor. We are passionate about brightening and transforming indoor spaces by adding a little greenery and living pieces of art. We create homemade terrariums, kokedamas and decorative garden bowls, vases and planters. Our creations are available for sale locally. Our designs require little care and maintenance; making them suitable for both experienced and beginner plant parents.

Our Journey to Stanz Designz

We've always been gardening enthusiasts- whether it's planting our annual veggie crops, decorating our home with indoor plants or propagating indoor plant babies. Stanz Designz was a natural progression of this hobby, combined with Bill's interest in aquascaping.

Over COVID, we began watching Youtube videos. Channels like Green Aqua and SerpaDesign inspired us to build our skillset and experiment with different techniques. We began building more complex scapes and recreating realistic ecosystems in our nature aquariums.

Soon, our love of aquascapes turned into a love of vivariums and paludariums! Slowly, our house has became a mini jungle and a peaceful, green space to unwind and relax. Stanz Designz was born through the support of our friends and family. Terrariums had become our 'go- to' gift for any special occasion or simply as a token of our appreciation.

With each terrarium we created, our loved ones would encourage us to
turn our hobby into a our gig on the side.

At its centre, Stanz Designz has always been a passion project and a labour of love. It is an opportunity for us to share this hobby with others and allow them to brighten up their own living spaces with something that is low-maintenance, self-sustaining and spreads a little tranquility.

We both feel so blessed to be able to share this hobby with YOU but also with each other. Our joint interest and enthusiasm in plants and nature mean that every one of our creations has provided us with a bonding experience as while imagine, design and produce it together.

Bill is the brains behind Stanz Designz. He enjoys the creativity of designing and making indoor garden decor. Bill enjoys sharing the hobby with others and is also interested in aquascaping and fish-keeping

About Jess

Jess runs the digital side of Stanz Designz, including product photography and maintaining online presence. Jess enjoys the therapeutic nature of plant care and works in retail to fund her plant obsession.
